Pork for Elizabethton

Elizabethton leaders are crowing about how a USDA grant of $8,000 will help downtown Elizabethton. Basically, money was taken at the threat of gunpoint and imprisonment from Americans all over the country so Elizabethton could get brackets and banners for 36 poles. People are "liking" the story on Facebook because apparently they fail to grasp that someone has to pay for this lunacy. Meanwhile, our country runs up an incredible debt. Every dollar counts. Someone has to pay for your stupid pole banners, Elizabethton!
